Brazoria County Bar Members have received an invitation to apply to judge a mock trial invitational tournament at Rice University.

The RiceBowl Invitational Mock Trial Tournament will take place from October 25 through October 27, 2019 and Jonathan Parts, Vice President of the Rice University Mock Trial program, is looking for volunteers from the Brazoria County Bar Association, to serve as judges.

Last year, in the Inaugural RiceBowl Invitational Mock Trial, featured teams were from: Baylor University, Texas A&M, The University of Oklahoma, SMU, Rice, Millsaps, and LSU.  The winner of each round is determined by the scoring of each team by three judges.  To be able to host the tournament, Mr. Parts is in need of volunteers from the legal community who have Juris Doctorates to serve as the judges, and he is inviting members of the Brazoria County Bar Association to volunteer to judge in the mock trial tournament.  Breakfast will be provided to judges on Saturday & Sunday morning, lunch on Saturday afternoon, and snacks and beverages for all rounds.
