Dear Attorney,

Lone Star Legal Aid needs your opinion
!

Early last year, Congress enacted an emergency appropriations law that included $15 million in funds to support projects that mobilize and improve communication and cooperation among legal aid clients, pro bono attorneys, and partner organizations.

Lone Star Legal Aid
Legal Aid of Northwest Texas, and Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid have leveraged a portion of these funds to design and build this State’s first ever Statewide Disaster Pro Bono Portal.

A single portal through which pro bono attorneys both in Texas and beyond can mobilize in the aftermath of a disaster to:
1. Sign up and volunteer at clinics and shelters;
2. Browse and accept cases;
3. View online trainings and resources; and
4. Track and monitor cases, training hours, and service hours with any of the participating legal services organizations through a single login.

As the intended user, your voices are critical to the development of this project. If you have ever taken on pro bono work, volunteered during a disaster, worked a legal clinic, or are just beginning to get interested pro bono work, we’d like to know how this portal can best serve you. Please take this very brief one page SURVEY to help us build a pro bono portal that caters to our greatest resource, YOU.
