Pursuant to Rules 304 and 309 of the Texas Rules of Professional Responsibility, as well as the Schulz decision, we are releasing the following statement.
The Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office Crime Laboratory has temporarily ceased conducting testing for blood alcohol and toxicology. Until further notice, lab analysis in these areas will be conducted by the Texas Department of Public Safety Crime Laboratory.
We are sending this to you consistent with our continued disclosure duties and in the interest of laboratory transparency.
