FREE 2 day training CLE Opportunity, “Sexual Assault & Strangulation”

Hosted by Brazoria County Domestic Violence Court Program

presented by Kelsey McKay, J.D., & Dr. Khara Breeden, DNP, MS, RN, SANE-A, SANE-P, AFN-BC

on April 2-3, 2020 at the Lake Jackson Civic Center from 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M.

You are able to attend only one day if your schedule requires.

TCOLE credits will be reported by the Brazoria County Sheriff’s Office, and 11 CLE credits will be reported by the Brazoria County Domestic Violence Court Program.

Topics of the training include:

  • Expanding the role of Forensic Nurse: Documentation, Consultation and Expert Testimony
  • Forensic (SANE) Exams
  • Collaborating with the Medical Community-From the Crime Scene to the Courtroom
  • Trauma informed interviewing
  • Identifying the perpetrator, understanding the dynamics, and converting case challenges into convictions
  • Case Studies
