Title: Strategies & Tactics for Winning Depositions
Description: With fewer cases seeing a jury, those that do require presentations that hold jurors’ limited attention and tell our stories in the most compelling, concise way possible. Meanwhile, with most cases resolving before trial, parties must show their opponents the risk of rolling the dice to obtain top (or bottom) dollar for their clients. In both contexts, strong deposition practice is one of our most lethal weapons. This discussion will cover practical issues in planning, preparing, and taking winning depositions, using real-world examples and an admissions-focused approach designed to build powerful records for mediation or trial.
