Bio:
Justice April Farris serves on Texas’s First Court of Appeals. She was appointed by Governor Abbott in 2021, and she was elected to a 6-year term in 2023. Justice Farris is an honors graduate of Harvard Law School and Abilene Christian University. Before joining the bench, she was appellate partner at Yetter Coleman LLP and a law clerk for Judge Jennifer Walker Elrod on the Fifth Circuit. She enjoys statutory construction and board games.
Bio:
Keith Toler is currently a staff attorney for the First Court of Appeals, a position he has held since 2019. He previously worked in the appellate division of the Harris County Attorney’s Office handling federal and state appeals and related litigation. He graduated from Rutgers Law School in 2013. Keith lives in the Westbury neighborhood of Houston with his wife, three-year-old daughter, and dog.
