THIS FORM CAN ALSO BE FOUND ON THE BRAZORIA COUNTY WEBSITE UNDER INDIGENT DEFENSE: brazoriacountytx.gov
•ATTORNEYS MUST COMPLETE A MINIMUM OF TEN (10) HOURS OF CERTIFIED C.L.E. CREDITS ANNUALLY IN CRIMINAL LAW. NO SELF-STUDY HOURS WILL BE COUNTED. C.L.E. ACTIVITY COMPLETED WITHIN A ONE-YEAR PERIOD IMMEDIATELY PRECEEDING AN ATTORNEY’S INITIAL REPORTING PERIOD MAY BE USED TO MEET THE EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR THE INITIAL YEAR. C.L.E. ACTIVITY COMPLETED DURING ANY REPORTING PERIOD IN EXCESS OF THE MINIUMUM TEN (10) HOUR REQUIREMENT FOR SUCH PERIOD MAY BE APPLIED TO THE FOLLOWING PERIOD’S REQUIREMENT. THE CARRYOVER PROVISION APPLIES TO ONE YEAR ONLY. ATTORNEYS ACCEPTING JUVENILE APPOINTMENTS MUST HAVE SIX (6) HOURS IN JUVENILE C.L.E., WHICH MAY BE INCLUDED AS PART OF THE REQUIRED TEN (10) HOURS.
